A collection of words with scriptural usage.

Able -“He is able to save completely those who come to God through Him.” Hebrews 7:25

Acknowledge -“Let us acknowledge the LORD; let us press on to acknowledge Him.”

Attitude – “Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus…” Philippians 2:5

Blessed – “Then Jesus told him, ‘Because you have seen Me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.’ ” John 20:29

Condemnation – “There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” Romans 8:1

Christ – “This Jesus I am proclaiming to you is the Christ.” Acts 17:3 (also Acts 5:42 and Acts 9:22)

Day of the Lord – “The day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare.” 2 Peter 3:10

Death – “Man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment.” Hebrews 9:27

Devil – “He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.” Jesus about the devil in John 8:44

Everyone – “For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in Him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.” Jesus in John 6:40

Faith – “Without faith, it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him.” Hebrews 11:6

Forever – “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” Hebrews 13:8

Forgiveness – “In Him, we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace.” Ephesians 1:7

Found – “We have found the Messiah” (that is, the Christ). – John 2:41

Freedom – “If the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” Jesus said this in John 8:36

Friend – “Greater love has no one than this, that He lay down His life for His friends. You are My friends if you do what I command.” Jesus said this is John 15:13-14

Gospel – “…that Christ died for our sins, according to the scriptures, that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day, according to the scriptures…” 1 Corinthians 15: 3-4

Grace – ” For, it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God…” Ephesians 2:8

Great High Priest – “Since we have a Great High Priest Who has gone through the Heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess.” Hebrews 4: 14 (also read Hebrews 7:24-26)

Hallelujah – Means “Praise God” or “Praise the Lord”.

Hate – “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated Me first.” – Jesus in John 15:18

Hell – ” ‘Where ‘their worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched.’ Everyone will be salted with fire.” – Jesus in Mark 9:47-49

Hope – “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy, He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead…” 1 Peter 1:3

Husband – “I promised you to one Husband, to Christ, so that I might present you as a pure virgin to Him.” 2 Corinthians 11:2 (Jesus is also called the Bridegroom and the church is called His bride – Read Ephesians 5:22-27 and Revelation 19:6-9)

Joy – “To Him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before His glorious presence without fault and with great joy— to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and forevermore! Amen.” Jude 1:24-25

Kindness – “You gave me life and showed me kindness, and in Your providence watched over my spirit.” Job 10:12

Life – “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” Jesus in John 10:10

Light – “Declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light.” 1 Peter 2:9

Love – “This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down His life for us.” 1 John 3:16

Man – “What is man that You are mindful of him, the son of man that You care for him? You made him a little lower than the angels; You crowned him with glory and honor and put everything under his feet…” Hebrews 2:6-8 and Psalm 8:4-6

Never – “Whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; he is guilty of an eternal sin.” – Jesus in Mark 3:29

Patience – “He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9

Peace – “We have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ…” Romans 5:1

Quiet – “He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside quiet waters…” Psalm 23:2

Repent –  “Turn away from all your offenses; then sin will not be your downfall. Rid yourselves of all the offenses you have committed, and get a new heart and a new spirit.”

Rescued – “He has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son He loves.” Colossians 1:13

Resurrection – “For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day, according to the Scriptures”  1 Corinthians 15:3-4

Righteousness – “Righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe.” Romans 3:22

Salvation – “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.” Hebrews 4:12 on Jesus Christ

Sin – “Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned— ” Romans 5:12

Soul – This is what the LORD says: “Every living soul belongs to Me, the father as well as the son—both alike belong to Me. The soul who sins is the one who will die.” Ezekiel 18:4 (also read Matthew 10:28)

Thanks – “Thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” 1 Corinthians 15:57

Time – “You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly.”   Romans 5:6

Witnesses – “You will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and all in Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8.  The last words of Jesus before He was taken up to Heaven.

Worship – “God is a Spirit and His worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth.” Jesus in John 4:24

Xerxes – A powerful king who made the beautiful Jewish girl, Esther, his queen.

Yoke – “My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” – Jesus in Matthew 11:30

Zion – “You have come to Mount Zion, to the heavenly Jerusalem, the city of the living God”. Hebrews 12:22. Also read Hebrews 11:16, Revelation 21:2, Revelation 21:10-27, Psalm 132:13-16, and Psalm 134:3
