Peace With God Through Christ

April 25, 2013

“We have peace with God through our Lord, Jesus Christ”. Romans 5:1

“There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.” – Romans 8:1

“For God was pleased to have all His fullness dwell in Him, and through Him to reconcile to Himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through His blood, shed on the cross.

Once you were alienated from God and were enemies in your minds because of your evil behavior;

But now, He has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in His sight, without blemish and free from accusation— If you continue in your faith, established and firm, not moved from the hope held out in the Gospel.

This is the Gospel that you heard and that has been proclaimed to every creature under heaven…” – Colossians 1: 19-23

Who has believed our message

   and to whom has the Arm of the LORD been revealed?

He grew up before Him like a tender shoot,

   and like a root out of dry ground.

He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to Him,

 nothing in His appearance that we should desire Him.

He was despised and rejected by men,

   a Man of sorrows, and familiar with suffering.

Like one from whom men hide their faces

   He was despised, and we esteemed Him not.

Surely He took up our infirmities

   and carried our sorrows,

yet we considered Him stricken by God,

   smitten by Him, and afflicted.

But He was pierced for our transgressions,

   He was crushed for our iniquities;

the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him,

   and by His wounds we are healed.”

Isaiah 53:1-5
